"Ascent Adventures" Group
The name "Ascent Adventures" is derived from the realization that as believers, we travel through peaks and valleys in life, but our joy is often expressed by the Psalmist, and by the Israelites as they ascended to Jerusalem for worship:
..I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

We Purpose to gather to provide interested persons an opportunity to enjoy some outstanding natural features in our region, as we make new friends, introduce others to our fellowship, and share God's world through hikes, water ventures, and exploring cultural/historical sites.
We start the year by getting together, and sharing ideas around some great food, drinks, teas, coffees, etc.! Then we Plan several events/activities, each with a dedicated coordinator and back-up coordinator. Trips may range from a few hours to a day trip within our region, and most within 1-2 hours of Lititz. Occasionally, an overnight trip may be planned if there is strong interest.
Typically, we find somewhere convenient to meet and Travel Together, enjoy the hike or event, then as time permits, we meet afterward for a snack, meal, coffee, ice cream (to refuel of course). Occassionally, this ends at Swiss Woods Bed & Breakfast - you don't want to miss it!
All new friends, old friends, and acquaintances are Welcome and Invited!
Come Young and Old! LEFCers and others! Join us as we share fellowship, enjoy creation, and our heritage, around some simple adventures and experiences. Come and lend us your experience too, and lead an outing!
