Lancaster Evangelical Free Church

NEW TO LEFC?

How do we worship?

Central to the life of our church is our weekly gathering for worship on Sunday mornings. The musical worship at these gatherings is centered on modern worship music coupled with timeless hymns to create a place of vibrant praise, worship, and prayer as we enter God's presence, honor His name, and worship Him in spirit and in truth. To learn more, contact Ken Martin, Director of Music/Worship, at 717.626.5332 or martin@lefc.net.

Why and how do we baptize?

Believer's baptism is an opportunity for us to obey Christ's teaching for His followers to publicly express faith in Him as Lord and Savior. It is an outward sign of an inward reality. It illustrates Jesus' burial and resurrection and the believer's new life as a Christian. Baptism doesn't make us believers; it demonstrates what we believe. We are saved only by our faith in Jesus (1Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 2:1-2; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 2:8-9).

We baptize by immersion in the Lititz Creek across the street from LEFC. We schedule approximately two baptisms per year: one in June and one in September, but there could be additional opportunities. If you have questions or would like to be baptized, please contact Ann Unruh at 717.626.5332 or unruh@lefc.net.

How do we dress?

For most people at LEFC, dress is business-casual, but some wear shorts and sandals and other suits and ties. All are welcome.

How do we dedicate children?

This is an opportunity for parents to dedicate our children to the Lord. Child dedication is a public declaration to raise our children in the ways of Jesus, teaching them at home and at church. We offer several opportunities throughout year. If you'd like to participate, please contact Ann Unruh at 717.626.5332 or unruh@lefc.net.
