Have you ever looked around the sanctuary on a Sunday morning and wondered, “Who are these people here at LEFC?” Have you thought you might like to get to know some people a little better, but aren't sure how? Plugging into a large church can be both intimidating and discouraging! But it can also produce wonderful friendships. Scripture encourages us time and time again to pursue these relationships, and to get involved with one another!
Our Summer Interest Groups are designed with fun in mind! If you see a group where you’d like to connect, please either contact the leader directly OR sign up here on the sign up page! Leaders will be in touch to let you know further details. We’d love to see you get involved!
The Summer Interest Group season runs all summer from June through the end of August. Feel free to get involved in as many groups as you wish.
LEFC does not oversee any of the events that will take place as part of the summer interest groups. As such, we have no involvement in ensuring your safety as you participate in whatever activities you choose. Consider these activities like you would any activity that your family would choose to be part of outside of the church. None of the activities as part of the summer interest groups should be considered LEFC activities or events.

Completing a marathon or half marathon is physically challenging, but the mental and emotional challenges can be just as hard to overcome. STrongly encourage marathon novices to join the group. We will meet for long training runs on Saturday mornings. I'm not a running coach. I'm middle aged, over weight, and love to run. You’ll need your own book!
“Man up; it’s the best thing you can do for others—and yourself!
Men are so busy doing so many different things; when not working, their free time is often full of the trivial or sinful. But what society and church so desperately need are men who embrace all that God created them to be, who long to follow God without limits and meet the needs of those around them without hesitation.
To get there, we need what Pastor James MacDonald calls “radical surgery”—a deep, probing exploration and reparation of all that it means to be a man.
In his definitive, bold voice, MacDonald calls men to be watchful, firm in their faith, strong, and loving. This isn’t a call for bravado and bluster. It’s a call for men to mix tender and tough, to be humble, to follow Jesus. It is a call to be leaders, men of God, husbands who are present and caring and strong. It is straight talk—no posturing or posing or beating around the bush—inviting men to redemption and restoration in their manhood.
Read Act Like Men and take bold steps toward being all that God designed you to be.”
