Before Jesus, it was hard to try to find God. I kind of did what I wanted to do, and sometimes I would think about what Jesus would want me to do. I went to Sunday school most weeks. But one week I went to main service. I was sitting with my parents in the balcony when Pastor Tony was speaking about how we needed to be saved from sin by Jesus.
When I got home, I prayed with my mom and dad and Doug. I asked if Jesus could save me from my sin and give me a new life and to live in Christ. I memorized John 2:16 "for God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will have eternal life." That's what I believe.
After that, I made my parents read me the Bible every single day. I would not let them go to bed until they read the Bible. I try to be nice to everyone like Luke 6:31 says to treat other as you want to be treated but I still mess up sometimes but now God saves me.
I was sitting in service with my parents this past July and Pastor Tony was talking about John the Baptist. John baptized Jesus and the Holy Spirit came down as a dove and God's voice said you baptized my son. Pastor Tony said if you wanted to show people you want to live in God's word and show people that God is living in your heart, you should get baptized. I'm here today to show everyone that I believe in God and asked Jesus to be in my heart. I'm excited for my uncle to baptize me today.
