Flooding in 2002 caused damage to thousands of homes along creeks and rivers in Southeast Kentucky. On this trip, volunteers will be working with EFCA Reach Global Crisis Response to bring hope to the surrounding community in the form of mucking, gutting, and rebuilding of homes. Our team will assist with drywalling, reframing, painting, electrical and plumbing work. Training will be provided in offering Christ’s love in the form of trauma care, listening to, praying with, and encouraging homeowners. We are looking for one volunteer who will stay at the site and help with food preparation for the volunteers. Construction knowledge is not required, only a willingness to be instructed.
