The invitation to be searched.
My plea in a time such as this…
- Things will not get fixed by fixating on those who don’t give a flip about Jesus.
- Things will only change if the church is fully surrendered and in love with Jesus.
- Surrender and love for Jesus happens when each person bends the knee in humility and asks God to do a deep clean of their soul.
- Then and only then can we with clarity of heart and mind with the motive of love for Jesus effectively discern well, pray well, live well and speak well into a society that needs Jesus.
- Revival is beginning when we have humbled ourselves and pray as the people of God.
- Harvest happens when the people of God as a church on fire become the light of the world and people come to the light of Jesus.
INVITATION TO PRAY… “Search me God…”
Discussion Guide:
- In considering God’s omniscience written in Psalm 139:1-6 how does it make you feel that God is that aware of you? What makes you uncomfortable and what makes it good that He is that aware?
- In Psalm 139:7-12 God’s omnipresence is revealed. What are the mysteries to God’s presence that makes it difficult for you as a human being to understand or explain?
- In light of Psalm 139:23-24 and 2 Chronicles 7:14, what are the hopeful outcomes from a true personal pursuit of God that petitions him to do a deep work in your soul? How could your personal revival lead to harvest of other souls?
