The 10 Commandments
No Other gods
We have two goals today. First, we want to understand the true meaning of the commandments. If we want to look through the lens of the law to the law giver, we need to know what the law means. Secondly, we’ll discuss how to respond. How do God’s people in the 21st century respond to commands given to a different people at a different time thousands of years ago.
Today we are covering the first two commandments with a focus on the first. We are in Exodus 20.
Series Information
How can we truly know who God is and who we are if there was no law given from God to define morality. The 10 Commandments give us a timeless framework by which we can know the holiness of God and to know our need for his help in living to please him.
