Team127

what is team127?

Team127 seeks to serve the adoptive and foster families of LEFC by providing community and support in many ways throughout the entire journey. Team127 is made up of families built through adoption and foster care who have a desire to see the Church carry out the call of James 1:27 in tangible ways by meeting families wherever they are on their path.

Whether you have yet to begin your journey, have been in the thick of it for years, or are somewhere in between, we would love to connect with you and support you along the way! Contact Team127 to get connected or to request information on upcoming community events, mentorship opportunities, adoption grants, post-adoption care and more.

care communities

Care communities are a group of 5-8 people committed to caring for foster and adoptive families in tangible ways.

We all know fostering and adoption is hard, but did you know: 50% of foster families will drop out after their first placement, and 90% of foster families will quit before reaching the two-year mark? However, 90% of families who are supported by a Care Community will continue to foster beyond two years!

We want to see every foster family at LEFC and in our surrounding community supported by a Care Community of at least five volunteers willing to help directly support the fostering efforts. Whether this is helping cook a meal, helping with transportation needs, helping with specific needs by request, or helping spiritually through the power of prayer, your support helps families foster longer and stronger. We also acknowledge that the struggles of fostering and adoption do not end when the judge signs a decree. Families often need more support than can be provided by family and friends. If you are an adoptive family who could use extra care, please allow us to support you with a Care Community. Click here to request a Care Community for your family.
