LEFC has global partners serving around the world. LEFC strategically moves toward partnering in international places where the gospel is unknown, where scripture is not available, and Jesus is nameless. Our area of strategic focus is Southeast Asia.

crisis response: myanmar earthquake

On March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit the near the city of Mandalay in Myanmar. The quake caused massive devastation and thousands of deaths, with many buildings collapsing with whole families still inside.

EFCA ReachGlobal Crisis Response and GlobalFingerprints are partnering with ReachGlobal's Asia division and two different church planting networks inside Myanmar to respond. A church planting partner was in Mandalay just hours before the quake and has already been back to the city with food and relief supplies. He reported that people are still sleeping outside, that hospitals are overwhelmed, and many people are frightened. This earthquake amid the ongoing civil war in Myanmar further highlights the opportunity and need for gospel hope. 

ReachGlobal is working with these networks to begin a long-term response that will meet spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. They need your help!

PRAY | Pray for wisdom and discernment as they communicate with ministry partners in Myanmar and developing long term response plans. Pray for the local church in the impacted regions to be sources of help and hope. Pray for the many impacted children in the region to receive the spiritual, emotional, and physical care they need.
